Davivienda El Salvador boosts technological development with Espaciotec

In the second consecutive year, Davivienda El Salvador achieved significant success in developing the limited edition of Espaciotec, a pioneering program in technology entrepreneurship nationwide. This initiative has provided local entrepreneurs with numerous opportunities to complete their projects and businesses with a technological approach.

In this new edition, 250 Salvadoran entrepreneurs actively participate in a high-quality capacity building process, through the 10XU platform. This platform, recognized within the Latin American startup space, offers an integral ecosystem that includes capacity, consultancy and execution. Thus, entrepreneurs obtain the tools and knowledge necessary to create negotiation plans, develop prototypes, carry out market tests and establish contact networks to launch their projects.

The training phase was decided by Lorenzo de Leo, managing partner of Rokk3r, which boasts a portfolio of over 50 technological startups. Lorenzo was key in the creation of Rokk3r's Cobuild courses, which were launched at the launch of 10XU. Currently, acceleration programs with a special focus on blockchain technology are also being run.

Note from the innovation table

During the formation process, the Mesa de Innovación represented a crucial document. This panel, made up of academics, entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders, offered personalized advice and shared its experiences to enrich participants' suggestions.

Armando J. Rodríguez, director of Davivienda El Salvador's digital desk, explained: “Our goal with Espaciotec was to connect emerging talent with entrepreneurs in El Salvador's tech ecosystem. We want to influence the quality of training by offering access to proven methodologies from international startups. We are committed to toasting these young, world-class digital tools to create solutions that improve the quality of life in the country.”

Collaboration with key groups

Furthermore, organizations such as Grupo SEARCHiN, Search Club and Joven360 play a fundamental role in the organization and execution of the program, supporting training, capacity and networking. These companies work intensively with participants, offering strategic advice that strengthens workers and the national ecosystem.

During 2023, the “Martian Capital” project entered the Ideas Category, while “Myneflow” was assigned to the Negotiations Development Category. Since its inception in 2018, Espaciotec has impacted more than 1,000 employees, with more than 300 capabilities and 12 award-winning technology projects.
