The president of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, has announced an institutional trip to China that will last until September 5, with the aim of positioning the autonomous community in different industrial and tourist markets of the Asian country. The mission is to try to promote Andalusia as an attractive destination for large Chinese companies and cities with high acquired power.
This trip has taken place in a context of trade tensions between China and the EU, and Andalusia has consolidated itself as a gateway for Chinese manufacturers in the renewable energy and automation sectors. In recent times, 15 Chinese business projects have been linked to the community, with investments amounting to around 700 million euros.
The relationship between Andalusia and China was particularly reflected in Linares, where he had stable contacts with the Hengrui company, in the automotive sector. During his visit, Moreno will meet with various industrial groups and local authorities.
Andalusia imports more than 2 billion euros annually from China, although the trade deficit exceeds 1 billion euros. The main imported products include machinery, household appliances and electrical materials. In the first half of this year, Andalusian exports to China generated 606 million euros, an increase of 32% compared to the previous year.
The trip's agenda includes a visit to a renewable energy technology park in Beijing, meetings with the China Automobile Manufacturers Association, and talks with companies such as Huawei and others in the corporate sector.
Moreno will also visit several Chinese cities, including Ningbo and Shanghai, where he will meet with important companies and local authorities. This effort is aimed at strengthening trade ties and creating inversions in Andalusia, a significant step in the search for new economic opportunities.
